The Grand Prix was awarded to the Indian film 'All We Imagine As Light,' while Iranian director Mohammad Rasoulof received a special award for 'The Seed of the Sacred Fig,' exploring Iran's authoritarian system.
Mohammad Rasoulof was in Cannes after announcing his exile, clandestinely directing his latest work and escaping Iran to present it.
The event also honored George Lucas, known for 'Star Wars' and 'Indiana Jones,' perhaps for his wider contributions to cinema.
