Barcelona's Julián Araujo is closing in on a transfer to Bournemouth, as the 22-year-old was not part of Barcelona's first-team plans. The transfer could result in an economic boost and help with Financial Fair Play.
Barcelona is open to a €10 million transfer deal for Araujo, with €7 million fixed and €3 million in variables. A percentage of any future transfer will be insured, and a buyback clause may be considered.
Sevilla was also interested in Araujo, managed by Francisco Garcia Pimienta, but unlikely to meet Barcelona's asking price. Araujo was originally signed by Barcelona from the LA Galaxy for €5 million.
