My original plan was to be a doctor or a dentist... pursue her culinary passion and enrol in the undergraduate gastronomy course instead.
I always cooked... always learning, always watching Ready Steady Cook... a good way to learn.
Ester was a dream...real school for cooking...combined so many cuisines, styles, ingredients, techniques, and the wood fire...so much fun.
For staff meals, Kalvo would serve up Turkish flavours...affectionately known as the lamb queen...co-opted that nickname for two pop-up dinners at Ester.
