The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will launch a tariff refund program for companies impacted by Trump's tariffs, starting April 20. This program, known as CAPE, will facilitate electronic submissions for duty refund claims following a Supreme Court ruling that invalidated the tariffs. Chief Justice John Roberts stated that the president lacked the authority to impose these tariffs without clear congressional authorization. Judge Richard Eaton ordered CBP to process refunds, potentially amounting to $127 billion for eligible importers.
