Local, EU and Limerick Mayoral Elections: All you need to know before heading to polls

Local elections in Ireland every five years elect councillors for 31 local authorities, including Limerick's first Democratically Elected Mayor (DEM). Eligibility requires being over 18, living in the local area, and listed on the Register of Electors.
To vote, check the Electoral Register, deadline May 20th. Bring a polling card and ID to the polling station from 7am-10pm. Mark ballot paper in order of preference.
