Police in Denmark stated that the assault on Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was not politically motivated. The 39-year-old suspect has been remanded in custody until June 20.
Eyewitnesses described seeing a man forcefully pushing Frederiksen on the shoulder as she was walking, though she did not fall down. Frederiksen was taken to the hospital for a check-up as a precaution.
