Bay Area schools with no or limited air conditioning grapple with heat wave

In the San Rafael city schools, the issue of heat is pressing, as only nine out of the twelve elementary schools have full air conditioning, while others struggle in sweltering conditions.
Superintendent Carmen Ghysels acknowledged the inadequate A/C situation, noting, 'Glenwood is one of our older facilities that wasn't built with air conditioning... We're addressing it through our multi-year bond program.'
