AUSD Notes: Congratulations to Alameda schools' various award winners

Alameda High School has been ranked No. 1404 in the United States, No. 192 in the state and No. 32 in the Bay Area. Encinal Junior and Senior High School ranked No. 2884 in the national rankings, No. 403 in the state rankings, and No. 56 in the Bay Area.
The rankings are based on six indicators including college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessments, underserved student performance and graduation rate. Alameda Science and Technology Institute and Island High School are not ranked due to no AP classes.
Jennifer Hartigan, a science teacher at Lincoln Middle School, selected for the Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship by National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions. She will participate in educational expeditions worldwide and mentor other educators.
