As War Stretches On, Gaza's High School Students Put Their Dreams on Hold
Briefly

Karim al-Masri, 18, was one of nearly 39,000 students in Gaza who were unable to take their high school final examinations due to the war. 'I should have been studying and preparing for my final exams, but...I'm spending my days working to provide for my family to cope with the situation.'
At least 625,000 children in Gaza are missing out on education with schools shut since the war began. More than 76% of schools in Gaza would require rebuilding or major rehabilitation after Israel's offensive, with the majority used as shelters for displaced families.
All 12 universities in Gaza, including those Mr. al-Masri dreamt of attending, have been severely damaged or destroyed by fighting. The war has left many students like him struggling to continue their education and build a better future.
