Berkeley's Bangkok Noodles & Thai BBQ, a 24-year-old Thai noodle and barbecue shop on Shattuck Avenue, has closed, leaving a gap in downtown Berkeley's dining scene.
Oakland's Lotus Falafel & Shawerma has permanently shut its original location at 377 19th St., and Oakland's Skyline Pizza on Keller Ave. in Ridgemont neighborhood has also closed after 20 years.
Despite Uji Time Dessert Cafe's abrupt closure in Berkeley, they are planning expansion with new locations soon, though the Berkeley branch has permanently shut down.
