It pays, often literally, to wait for these companies to iron out the kinks in their hardware and churn out better versions of the same product at a more reasonable price.
But did it? Well, now, SFGATE made it my job to find out. Since Apple wouldn't give us a complimentary prototype to test (cheapskates), I had to go demo the product at my local Apple Store like a common pud. Here now is what I discovered on my fabulous retail journey.
