The new features focus on organizing and decluttering the gallery feed by automatically grouping similar photos together while separating other kinds of images, such as documents and screenshots, into dedicated albums.
Google uses AI to select the best image, or "top pick", from each stack and places that at the top of the pile for you. Tapping on this image allows you to browse the rest of the photos in the stack and designate a different one as the top pick if you wish.
Now, Google Photos is improving its support for other types of images, such as screenshots and documents, by organizing them into dedicated albums.
