The Slate Shop's 2023 Gift Guide
Briefly

In case you haven't heard, Slate recently launched a new online shop just in time to help you navigate the annual juggernaut of holiday shopping. The Slate Shop has an eclectic array of thoughtfully curated, high-quality gifts for friends, family, and yourself. You can also feel better about this season of consumerism knowing that every Slate Shop purchase supports small businesses, inspiring makers, and Slate's independent journalism.
These embroidery kits from Kiriki Press are a great stocking stuffer for anyone who likes to keep busy when the family's around. These adorable and accessible little projects are perfect for idle hands during family movie night or a reprieve from awkward conversations about when you're getting married/having kids, etc. Each kit is labeled with an experience level 1 through 3, so you can choose based on the recipient's skill level. Reminder, they do require a 6" hoop. Michelle Galletta started Kiriki Press after she wanted to make her niece an embroidered doll but couldn't find a pattern."
