Heatherwick Studio's Hanwha Galleria Redefines Urban Shopping with its Glorious Waved Glass Facade - Yanko Design
Briefly

The Hanwha Galleria is a visionary project designed by Heatherwick Studio, redefining what a department store can be in the 21st century, opening up to the city.
The design features two near-identical, hourglass-shaped glass volumes that ripple and undulate, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow that evolves throughout the day.
This shopping center is not just beautiful, it's designed to be experienced—with a seamless link to the subway, inviting exploration and connection to the city.
By day, the facades of the Galleria shimmer, while at night, they transform into projections that light up the Seoul skyline, making it a striking landmark.
