Harvard GSD Inaugurates Polinature, a Plug-In Public Space to Transform Urban Climates
Briefly

Polinature serves as a temporary solution to increasingly challenging conditions posed by climate change, particularly to vulnerable communities lacking access to green spaces.
Designed as an 'Urban Biodiversity Kit,' the installation showcases how small-scale interventions can yield significant positive effects on local micro-climates and biodiversity.
This modular pavilion comprises scaffolding, native plants, and an inflatable canopy, allowing for reconfiguration and reducing waste, promoting sustainability within urban settings.
With over 1,400 native flowering plants, Polinature aims to create habitats for pollinators, including honeybees and monarch butterflies, enhancing urban biodiversity.
