The Art Gallery of Ontario is set to exhibit 37 works from Philip B. Lind’s collection, showcasing Canadian and international artists, starting November 1.
Stephan Jost praised Lind as a leader in contemporary art, noting his selective collection of high-quality works, particularly prioritizing Canadian artists of international stature.
Lind's passion for the arts and connection to artists is highlighted by his meeting with Ai Weiwei in Beijing, who he championed at the AGO.
The donation is one of the largest in the AGO's history, coinciding with the gallery’s expansion for modern and contemporary displays.
