In the last decade, I have learned from Voyager that there is (almost) always a way around a problem, no matter how dire it is... You just have to think 'outside the box' when people tell you not to do so.
Engineers reprogrammed Voyager 1 by splitting the correct code into sections placed in available computer space to restore communication.
