Second dairy worker tests positive for HPAI in the U.S.
Briefly

A dairy worker in Michigan is the second person to test positive for the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus circulating in American dairy cow herds. The first case of human infection associated with this dairy herd infection of HPAI was detected in Texas in March.
To date, 51 dairy herds in nine states have tested positive for the virus, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that symptoms of infection were mild for both cases and presented as conjunctivitis.
No HPAI fragments were found in 303 retail milk samples tested in Canada. Cows in Canada have not tested positive for HPAI yet.
