Zaiqa, the new restaurant in South Waterfront, will focus on staples of Northern Indian cuisine like curries and biryanis while incorporating Pakistani-style dishes such as karahi and korma.
The restaurant's menu will feature the popular dish Chicken 65, with disputed origins, including theories on it being invented in 1965 or being the 65th item on the menu.
Chef Lal Khan from Maharaja Cuisine of India in Seattle will lead the kitchen, overseeing the preparation of tandoori meats, bread, and specialties like the mixed grill sampler.
