A man attempted to ignite a fire in a hallway of a Kenwood building Monday night where the SWAT team was called to take him into custody, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., the SWAT team was called to a residential building in the 4700 block of South Lake Park Avenue after he barricaded himself in an apartment after being confronted by a neighbor for attempting to start a fire, police said.
The man was taken into custody when he exited the apartment. He was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation, police said.
