Celeste Teams Up With Rockit Cofounder in River North
Briefly

The owners of Celeste and Rockit Bar & Grill's co-founder are launching Vela, a new upscale Mexican restaurant at 352 W. Hubbard Street, focusing on Mexico City's street food and elegant dishes.
Vela will offer dishes like pork belly with mole, Iberican pork collar pibil, and tlacoyo stuffed with mushrooms and salsa, with corn imported from Mexico for tortillas.
The space for Vela features redecorated lime wash and stucco walls, natural wood herringbone flooring, and handmade Venetian chandeliers, blending a decadent bar style with a focus on Mexican cuisine.
Celeste Group, formed by the Hindo brothers and Arturo Gomez, plans to expand with more concepts like Whiskey Bar, Deco Supper Club, DISCO, and a rooftop Garden, with chef Jorge Angulo leading the culinary direction.
