Chelsea hire new set-piece coach Bernardo Cueva from Brentford

Chelsea will have a new specialist set-piece coach, Bernardo Cueva, starting in the 2024/25 campaign. They are recruiting him from Brentford, paying 750,000 as compensation for the 36-year-old. Cueva has been part of Brentford's coaching staff since September 2020.
Bernardo Cueva, the new set-piece coach for Chelsea, was previously with the Norway men's national team's backroom staff since October 2021. He also served as the strategic analysis manager for Mexican side Chivas from 2017 to 2020. Cueva accompanied Brentford head coach Thomas Frank on the bench during the season, including notable games like a 2-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
