Chelsea have now closed a deal to sign Jorgensen for 20.7m, and he will soon be unveiled as their newest player.
Jorgensen will be the fourth new senior goalkeeper signed by Chelsea in two years to support playing from the back, in line with head coach Maresca's style.
Jorgensen, at 22, made his breakthrough at Villarreal with impressive performances, becoming Chelsea's seventh signing in a busy summer transfer window.
