Ashley Cole to assist Lee Carsley during his time as England interim manager
Briefly

Ashley Cole will be serving as assistant to interim manager Lee Carsley, following Gareth Southgate's departure after the European Championship. His first game is against the Republic of Ireland.
Cole joined Carsley's backroom staff, previously collaborating with him at Under-21s and bringing experience from coaching stints at clubs including Chelsea and Derby.
The Football Association has confirmed Cole’s role alongside Joleon Lescott and head of coaching Tim Dittmer, as Southgate's team undergoes significant changes.
With Southgate and two other staff members leaving, Paul Nevin has taken over the Elite League Squad while Ben Futcher advances to Under-21s management.
