Distance Technologies' prototype turns windshields into full-color 3D displays, utilizing LCD panels and reflective coating for an expansive and spatial viewing experience.
The technology uses a parallax barrier on the LCD panel to display different images for each eye, tracking the driver's gaze to adjust the display. The end result is a semi-transparent 3D image covering half of the windshield.
