One person was killed in a multi-car collision on Highway 101 near Mathilda Avenue early Sunday.
Based on initial reports, at least two vehicles, and as many as three, were involved in the crash.
CHP investigators also received a report that a gray Mazda CX-5 hit a pedestrian, but it was not immediately clear whether that person was thrown from a vehicle in the initial crash then was hit, or had exited a vehicle and then was hit.
The entire southbound segment of Highway 101 near the crash site was closed to traffic for about an hour to allow the CHP to investigate the scene.
