A 22-year-old Hayward man who was hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter earlier this month has died from his injuries, authorities said.
The fatal collision happened about 4:45 p.m. on May 8 near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Orchard Avenue.
Authorities identified him as Sai Gollapalli. It was the fourth fatal collision in Hayward this year.
Police did not make an arrest and said they do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the wreck.
