Kia will allow its electric vehicles access to over 16,500 Tesla Superchargers starting January 15th, providing free NACS adapters for new EV customers.
Current Kia EV owners, however, will have to purchase an adapter to use Tesla Superchargers, with prices yet to be announced.
Kia plans to release a software update in early 2025, enabling customers to pay and charge directly through their in-car infotainment system.
The move aligns Kia with other automakers like Ford, Rivian, and GM who have already integrated Tesla's NACS into their electric vehicle infrastructure.
