Ford U.S. EV Sales More Than Doubled In April 2024

Ford's EV sales saw substantial growth in April, with 8,019 units sold, 129% more than a year ago, contributing to hope for a strong Q2, with an improved EV share of 4.7% compared to 2.0% last year.
All three Ford EV models, including Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit, showed year-over-year sales increases, further boosting the overall electric vehicle market for the company.
Ford has sold over 28,000 all-electric vehicles in the U.S. so far this year, representing a significant increase of almost 97% compared to the previous year.
The sales performance of the Ford F-150 Lightning in April showed promise, with 2,090 units sold, up 57% from the previous year, and expectations for continued growth throughout 2024.
