Cadillac Recalls Over 20,000 Lyriq EVs Because The Brakes Might Malfunction
Briefly

Cadillac is recalling 21,469 Lyriq electric crossovers in the U.S. due to a software issue with the electronic brake control module that may lead to loss of braking power.
The defect, which affects only 2023 and 2024 models with all-wheel drive, can cause the anti-lock braking system to activate falsely, resulting in reduced stopping performance.
The issue emerged earlier this year, with reports linked to minor accidents. GM and Cadillac have conducted thorough analysis, confirming it is a software-related problem.
The recall will be addressed via an over-the-air software update; however, owners also have the option to visit Cadillac dealers for the fix.
