A 50-year-old man from Indio was arrested for allegedly attempting to kidnap two girls in Moreno Valley on their way to school. The girls provided deputies with a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle.
The suspect was identified as Rene Ramirez, who was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on suspicion of attempted kidnapping and annoying and molesting children, with bail set at $1 million.
