California Poised For Indoor Heat Illness Regulation
Briefly

Cal/OSHA will soon have authority to enforce heat illness standards in indoor workplaces.
The indoor heat illness regulation will apply to industries where indoor temperatures are difficult to control below 82 degrees.
The regulations will require access to cool water, cool-down areas, acclimatization, and emergency response and training requirements.
Cool-down areas must be maintained at a temperature under 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
Employers will need to implement measures to comply, such as providing cool water and designated cool-down areas.
