A partial solar eclipse will be visible in Sacramento on Monday, reaching about 35% coverage of the sun. The peak is expected around 11:15 a.m., starting around 10:30 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m.
"(Sacramento) can only expect about 35% coverage of the sun, even at the peak," said Kyle Watters, a professor of physics and astronomy at Sacramento State. Watters mentioned the eclipse starting around 10:15 a.m. and peaking around 11:15 a.m., ending by 12:15 p.m.
