Met Eireann warns of spot flooding and thundery downpours as rain set for the weekend

While many parts of the country will see a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, heavy rain will move across the south later on today with the chance of spot flooding, Met Éireann has said.

Next week will begin cloudy with some patchy rain and drizzle though there will be some bright and sunny spells at times on Monday.
