79 units isn't going to solve the crisis, but the symbolism is tremendous...no jurisdiction is immune from state housing laws.
Malibu may not deny certain low-, very low-, and moderate-income housing projects, regardless of zoning.
Our housing laws are not optional; they apply to all cities and counties in California...all Californians benefit when more homes are allowed to be constructed.
