California's major reservoirs, like Shasta and Oroville, are near capacity, a stark contrast to previous years. Shasta is at 96% of its total capacity, 114% of the historical average, while Oroville is at 126%.
In 2021, Lake Oroville was extremely dry, forcing the removal of houseboats. Today, Oroville is almost at capacity. Shasta went from 24% to nearly full capacity.
