Two 19-year-olds in California posed as ICE agents, speaking Spanish, using fake badges, and targeting Latino victims for money through robberies across the western United States.
Investigators are seeking additional victims of Laurentiu Baceanu and Vasile Alexandru, arrested for robbery charges involving multiple people in Anaheim and Orange County.
Police found the vehicle used in the robberies in Fullerton after responding to two connected robberies in Anaheim, where the two suspects were arrested without bail.
Police assure undocumented victims of these crimes they can report without fear of immigration consequences, as the department does not collaborate with federal ICE officials.
