
In the last three months, 43% of new checking accounts were opened by millennial customers and 31% by Gen Z customers. For savings accounts, 37% were opened by millennials and 32% by Gen Z. More than half of all accounts are being opened at national banks or neobanks. The figures come from JD Power data.
