Amazon to close two California facilities, impacting hundreds of employees
Briefly

According to public notices filed Sept 6, Amazon plans to close a warehouse in Irvine affecting 162 employees and another facility in West Sacramento impacting another 159.
Amazon spokesman Sam Stephenson stated, 'We're always evaluating our network to make sure it fits our business needs and to improve the experience for our employees, customers and partners.'
The closure of the facilities arrives after Amazon announced its intention to revisit plans for a massive delivery center in SoMa, which was paused due to a moratorium.
