At today's meeting, the commissioners unanimously voted to calendar the proposed new historic district, which includes more than 100 houses and covers most of the two blocks between Nostrand and Marcy avenues.
Houses in the area maintain good integrity in the nearly 150 years most had been standing, creating a distinct sense of place within Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood.
