Panel discussion program will honor 70th anniversary of Brown V. Board of Education

City Comptroller Brad Lander, alongside NY Appleseed, NYU Metro Center, the National Coalition on School Diversity and other education advocates will honor the 70th anniversary of the landmark 1954 Supreme Court decision on Brown v. Board of Education.
Participants include NY Appleseed Executive Director Nyah Berg, Chief Equity Officer Sadye L. Campoamor, NYC Community School District 13 Superintendent Meghan Dunn, NYU Metro Center Director Matt Gonzales, and Chalkbeat Student Voices Fellow Emily Muñoz.
Brooklyn Borough Hall will host the program with local education leaders, parents, students, and advocates aiming to re-ignite efforts for an inclusive, multiracial education system.
