"Around 15 to 20 years ago our president of the cemetery really wanted to make sure that Green-Wood was this space that was not only welcoming, but then also engaging to visitors," Harry Weil, Green-Wood Cemetery's director of education and public programming told Brooklyn Paper. "Then when I came in about eight years ago, the goal was really to expand that a bit more and to really think about things like dance and visual art and music and ways that those [art forms] can be incorporated into the space."
