New Yorkers should plan for street, bridge and tunnel closures during the TD Five Boro Bike Tour on Sunday, May 5. Motorists should expect delays and plan additional travel time or seek alternate routes, city agencies said through news releases.
The Staten Island-bound lower level of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge will be closed from 2:00 am until 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 5, due to the TD Five Boro Bike Tour. Traffic accessing the bridge via the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE)/Gowanus Expressway approach will be limited from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
