MUAMA envisions the "X Marks the Spot" celebration as a catalyst for increased foot traffic along the Malcolm X corridor (formerly Reid Avenue), in an effort to provide vital support to local small businesses and enhance the overall branding of Bedford Stuyvesant and Malcolm X Blvd. as a premier destination in Brooklyn.
Participating merchants and organizations include BKNYC Notary, Brooklyn Residency, Chez Oskar, Dick & Jane's Bar Room, Filly Luv, Flateau Realty, Corp., Global Wealth, Happy Buds, Lavender Blues, Ma Lillit, Mac Shack, Milk & Pull, PS 262 Arts Program, the Katmint Learning Initiative, the Nourish Spot BK, Verdure Florist and Therapy Wine Bar 2.0.
