Brooklyn Sees Most Housing Development in NYC, Data Shows

The majority of the city's housing development in the last 13 years has been in north and northwest Brooklyn, with over 297,500 new units built. Areas with high housing costs like Community Board 1 and CB2 have seen the most growth.
Southern Brooklyn, known for being less dense and more affordable, has had the least amount of new housing construction as compared to the northern parts of the borough.
