Brooklyn man charged for stealing mail carriers' key, ID theft and more
Briefly

A Brooklyn man has been charged in a 10-count indictment with robbery of a postal worker, related firearms offense, mail theft-related offenses, wire fraud, bank fraud, access device fraud, and aggravated identity theft.
The defendant and others committed gunpoint robberies of United States Postal Service mail carriers to obtain arrow keys, which are universal keys to access postal boxes, stealing mail and checks.
Between January and March, the defendant falsely assumed the identity of a victim, changed the victim's address to his own, withdrew $245,000, and made purchases in the victim's name.
Brooklyn, with nearly 2.6 million residents, would be the fourth-largest city in the U.S. Though considered 'cool and hip,' it has always been cherished by its long-time residents.
