The Cadman Park Conservancy launched a month of Juneteenth events in Cadman Plaza Park on Saturday with powerful ballet and street dance performances by the Brooklyn Ballet.
The moving event, held adjacent to the park's shady Juneteenth Grove, featured the Brooklyn premiere of 'Still I Rise,' inspired by Maya Angelou's iconic poem of the same name.
