Ricardo Price was sentenced to 3 1/3 to 10 years for second-degree manslaughter of Royalty Kemp, who died from abusive head trauma caused by severe injuries.
Brooklyn DA Gonzalez stated, 'Royalty Kemp was a precious infant entrusted by her mother to the defendant's care. Instead of ensuring the child's safety, he caused head injuries so severe she died.'
Price shook the infant on his lap, causing her to fall and hit her head on a video game controller, resulting in a skull fracture that led to her death.
The tragic incident took place in June 2021 when the infant's mother noticed her lethargic state and inability to eat, leading to Royalty's death in July.
