Right-hander Brad Keller agreed to a one-year contract with the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, six days after he was cut by the Chicago White Sox.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora described Keller by saying, 'He's got good stuff. He's interesting.'
Keller had a 0-2 record with a 4.86 ERA in two starts and three relief appearances for the White Sox before being designated for assignment.
Garrett Whitlock announced the end of his season due to a right ulnar collateral ligament repair, while Zack Kelly was optioned to Triple-A Worcester.
