The Red Sox agreed to a deal with the Chicago White Sox, sending left-handed pitcher Bailey Horn to Boston for cash. Horn, 26, was initially drafted by the White Sox in 2020 and traded to the Cubs in 2021.
Boston's chief baseball officer, Craig Breslow, who served as the Cubs' assistant general manager during Horn's time in Chicago, was familiar with Horn's abilities and targeted him for the Red Sox.
